Who knows what to believe?

Post election bumps, Sarah Palin effect, bad media week for Obama……….Who knows what to say? With polls coming out today showing for the first time a clear shift from first to second place, Obama and his team need to focus. The small advantage McCain is polling at could be temporary as many in the liberal media want to believe, but Obama and Joe Biden need to go on the attack. Not gutter politics, but they need to play reality politics. The economy is in tattters and its doubtful the same olf GOP approaches can fix things. When the economy gets bad enough and people have to reconfigure whats going to be on the dinner table if anything, things like culture wars and foreign affairs mean little. Economy trumps everything, at least that’s what logic would have us believe, but I’m not sure the US electorate is into the logic game at least not when they are lead away from the obvious.

Hillary Clinton said it best today when she was campaigning in Texas when she said,” Asking the the same Republican Party to save the economy is like asking the iceberg to save the titanic.”

Here is a state by state look, which still has Obama leading where he needs to. National polls can be deceiving, because we live in a Republic and not a genuine democracy. Electoral college trumps the democratic spirit we’re all taught.
